DHA:<\/strong> Traditionally used in self-tanning cosmetics, it tints the skin without sun exposure by reacting with the amino acids in the outermost layer of the epidermis, thereby creating a temporary tan. The tan usually appears within 2 to 6 hours and lasts about 5 to 7 days, fading naturally as the skin renews itself.

Erythrulose:<\/strong> Often combined with DHA, it produces a more gradual, long-lasting tan that is generally less orange, resulting in a more natural-looking glow.
